PingOne asks administrators to prepare DKIM by 31 October
PingOne announces DKIM requirements for email trust and changes to notification customization. Administrators should prepare DNS before the stated date.
What was announced
Ping Identity’s 13 October 2026 notice says PingOne MFA will require DKIM for email trust when the change becomes available. Administrators are told to add DKIM configuration by 31 October 2026 so they can continue adding and changing trusted email addresses.
The notice is labelled “Coming soon”. It gives a preparation date, rather than confirming that enforcement has already started.
A separate 12 October notice says customizing PingOne email notification templates will require a validated trusted email domain or a custom email sender. Existing customizations will be retained, but further edits will require that setup.
What administrators should do
Check email trust in each affected PingOne environment. Follow the trusted-domain instructions: verify the domain, then publish the CNAME records from its DKIM tab and use Verify to check them. If PingOne lists multiple AWS regions, its instructions require the records for all regions.
Allow time for DNS propagation and test a delivered notification. These announced changes concern PingOne configuration; they do not set a new deadline for all email domains. Recheck the notice for rollout changes.
